Start the day with me! Check your pieces in the kiln, catch today’s ceramic ritual, and stay in the studio flow.

Four areas

Learn

The basics of ceramics. From the start, in order, without the decoration.

Thousands of knowledge cards, from clay types to glaze chemistry, kiln atmosphere to firing faults; each covers one topic and names where it came from. The daily quiz measures how much of it stuck.

Explore

Techniques, materials, tools and processes.

The work and the approach of more than a hundred artists, plus book summaries drawn from sources that have never appeared in Turkish. The community showcase is here too: pieces straight out of the kiln.

Try

Work through the processes interactively.

Pull clay on the wheel with your finger, turn a profile section from a plaster block, prepare the model for its mould. Dry your piece on the shelves, glaze it, fire it — then put it in the showcase.

ÇAMUR

A lump of clay with far too many opinions.

Your guide, your narrator, and the companion that mocks you now and then. It reminds you of the day’s task, tells you when you are wrong, and doesn’t oversell it when you are right.

You don’t have to download it.

But you did come all this way.
