Scope
These terms govern your use of the ÇAMUR mobile app and camurapp.com. By using either, you accept them.
Your account
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for activity carried out through it. You can delete your account at any time.
I may suspend or close accounts in the case of a serious breach of these terms, giving prior notice where possible.
Acceptable use
- Do not use the app for unlawful purposes.
- Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access, disrupt the service or circumvent security measures.
- Do not scrape the content in bulk or republish it elsewhere.
- Do not use someone else’s account.
Content and copyright
All original content in the app and on the site — text, images, illustrations and the ÇAMUR character — belongs to its rights holder. Personal use and quotation with attribution are permitted; commercial use requires written permission.
Notes you enter into the app remain yours. You grant me the right to store that content and show it back to you so I can provide the service; I will not use it for anything else.
Safety notice about ceramics
The instructional content is for information only. Ceramics involves kilns operating at high temperatures, chemical glaze components and respirable silica dust.
- It is your responsibility to follow the manufacturer’s instructions and local safety rules when you work with kilns, glazes and chemicals.
- For items intended to contact food, you must verify the food safety of the glaze yourself.
- I am not liable for damage, injury or loss arising from work based on information in the app.
Pricing and advertising
Çamur is free. There are no subscriptions and no in-app purchases. If I ever add a paid feature, its terms will be written here before it ships.
The app shows ads. Rather than charging for the app I chose to keep it running on advertising: I do not want to take money from someone who wants to learn ceramics, but the work has to cover its own costs. The ads are non-personalised — no advertising profile is built for you and no system tracks you across apps. Exactly what does and does not reach the ad network is listed in the Advertising section of the Privacy Policy.
Availability
I do not guarantee that the app or site will run uninterrupted or error-free. Content may change without notice and the service may be suspended. If I discontinue the service entirely, I will announce it a reasonable time in advance.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, I am not liable for indirect damages arising from use of the app. This does not limit liabilities that cannot be excluded by law.
Changes
When these terms change I update the date above and notify you in the app for significant changes.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. If you are a consumer, your right to apply to the consumer arbitration committee and the consumer courts where you live is reserved.
Who makes this
ÇAMUR is made by me — Baran Şahin, an independent developer (baransahin.com). There is no company behind it: when these terms say "I", that is literally one person, and the other party to this agreement is me as a natural person.
